An encounter between photography and emotional release…

During the pandemic, I was unable to practise my profession. So I put my camera away and chose to turn that period of silence into a space for transformation by training in Ericksonian hypnosis and NLP.

I came to understand how we carry our stories within us – some beautiful, others painful, and others left unspoken…

Today, these two worlds come together to create a unique approach that combines photography with NLP, light hypnosis and various brief therapy techniques, which I have incorporated throughout my training.

This portrait is particularly close to my heart…

A portrait to restore self-esteem…

« The curious paradoxe is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change »

Carl Rogers

Why not take a moment to put those negative thoughts to sleep by exploring how your past experiences are shaping your life today?

This is not a traditional photo shoot. It is about gradually changing the way you see yourself through a transformative exploration of your story. This will help you create some emotional distance from whatever is holding you back or blocking you - making room for solutions and new resources.

It’s about reclaiming your image and your identity in a new way

The process:

Session 1: I gently start the session with a black-and-white portrait to then explore together your emotions and the patterns linked to your personal history.

Session 2: Several black-and-white portraits will be taken during the session, during which we’ll discuss the changes you’ve felt since the first session, that we’ll gradually bring to light and capture in images.

You will receive:

  • A preliminary telephone consultation

  • Two 75-90-minute sessions, one to two weeks apart

  • A follow-up call after each session

  • Self-hypnosis and breathing exercises

  • A private online gallery to choose your portraits

  • 4 B&W portraits (web format files)

  • 1 20×25 cm B&W Fine-art print (Museum quality)

190€

Additional 75-90 minute-session

60€

PLEASE NOTE:

During the sessions: there will come a point when you’ll stop noticing my camera. Your comfort is my priority, and the portraits I take during these sessions are captured with the utmost respect for you as a person.

The sessions are conducted as part of a solution-focused approach. They are not a substitute for therapy.

They can be wonderfully integrated into an ongoing therapy with a psychotherapist, a therapist, a counsellor.

Over time, changes may be made to the therapeutic-portrait to allow it evolve.

To find out a bit more… with a few gems…

  • Ever since you were born, your nervous system has guided you in constantly integrating what you learn from your environment.

Through your life experiences, and without realising it, you develop patterns that you use and repeat every day, thereby forming beliefs and subconscious habits.

These habits include routines, rituals, reactions, emotions, thoughts, feelings, behaviours…

Most of these automatic responses are beneficial and contribute to your daily well-being – they are helpful.

    However, some can become limiting.

NLP offers a powerful approach to exploring and transforming these unconscious mechanisms for a better quality of life.

I combine NLP with light hypnosis, as these two tools complement each other perfectly.

  • Hypnosis is a natural state, an altered state of consciousness that we experience several times a day.

It is a state that we simply go with.

Think of the times when you’re reading a book and lose track of time… or when you’re on a train watching the landscape go by, letting yourself be lulled by its sounds and movements… there are so many other examples, and we all experience these pleasant moments of altered consciousness several times a day, moments that disconnect us from the present, where we are physically in one place and mentally in another.

All these moments are states of hypnosis.

During a session, it is a tool that connects you to your subconscious mind, allowing you to take the necessary step back to gain access to new insights, answers and solutions.

You are not asleep; you can hear my voice and respond to it.

    You never lose control.

  • And it runs through you… but it doesn’t define you.

    Nothing is set in stone.

Recognising your history allows you to change the way you view it and transform how it makes you feel.

  • Through therapeutic portraiture, I will guide you in:

    • Rebuilding your self-esteem

    • Uncovering what is already within you

To help you see yourself in a more accurate, kind and understanding light…

  • “One must have chaos within oneself to give birth to a dancing star” Nietzsche

Accepting your emotions is one of the most effective regulation strategies.

Emotion is not a pathology - it is natural.

It is not positive or negative - it is pleasant or unpleasant.

Some emotions are beneficial to our well-being - others are less so.

An emotion that is denied or suppressed over time can prove harmful to mental and/or physical health, as it will always find a way to make itself heard, manifesting itself, amongst other things, in the form of psychosomatic symptoms.

By identifying and listening to it, you will be able to regulate it and sense the message it is sending you.

The more the emotion hurts, the more important the message is.

Emotion is actually a caring advisor.

NB: Regulating does not mean controlling.

  • Each person is unique, with their own story and emotions.

I offer support using an approach that combines several therapeutic methods, which I tailor to each individual.

I use a light form of hypnosis so that we can continue to talk. You can hear my voice and remain aware of the room you are in, whilst being in an altered state of consciousness that allows you to connect with your subconscious

The aim of the therapeutic portrait is not for you to become ‘the best version of yourself’, but to move towards a different perspective, transforming how you view yourself and your surroundings for greater clarity and comfort… And to achieve this, I focus primarily on emotions and the patterns associated with them.

It is not about forgetting or ignoring what has hurt you, but about adjusting the emotional reaction linked to the memory so that you can regain mental flexibility and control.

From there, your perception of yourself can begin to change.

My role is to support you so that you can identify and understand the source of your blockages.

I accompany you on this journey with empathy and without judgement.

  • This session marks the beginning of a transition, a journey that unfolds in complete safety, one on which I will accompany you every step of the way.

It involves a beautiful and meaningful encounter with your inner child, during which your story and your emotions are acknowledged so that the process of emotional release can take place.

As you connect with them, you will let go of what is no longer needed – what is holding you back… These changes need time and space to process, and your subconscious knows exactly what to do.

You don’t need to do anything. Whatever feelings or emotions arise during this period, don’t try to analyse or judge them… Just let them be.

Therefore, this waiting period is necessary.

I will call you between sessions to check in with you and hear about your feelings.

  • It is a tool for self-reflection that enables us to identify, understand and manage our emotions.

Its effectiveness lies in your ability to take responsibility for what is happening in your life, or what has happened, as well as the positive or negative consequences that arise from it.

By being mindful of your emotions, you can understand why they arise and identify the influence they have on your choices, reactions and decision-making in your personal and professional life.

It is a tool that builds self-awareness and resilience.

  • A photographer is a creator in the same way as a musician, a writer, a fashion designer or a software developer.

Following your portrait session, you will receive several digital files and/or fine-art prints, which grant you a licence to use the images for personal use only.

The photos may be shared only within a private circle, with your friends and family on personal social media or via email.

These images may not be used, sold or given to third parties for commercial purposes without my written consent.

    Thank you for your understanding.
